Today, the old town of Split is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Croatia, and here are some of the sights you shouldn't miss when you visit.

Diocletian's Palace

Diocletian's Palace, built by the Roman emperor Diocletian in the 4th century, is one of the biggest attractions in Split. This impressive palace has a beautiful architectural style that is a combination of Roman and Dalmatian architecture and is considered one of the best-preserved examples of ancient architecture. Today, the palace houses shops, restaurants, and cafes, and some of the most famous sights include the Peristyle, St. Duje's Cathedral, and the Temple of Jupiter.

The Riva is a seaside promenade that is a favorite place for walks among tourists and locals.
